Second Amendment, I was correct it seems!

This has been a hot button issue for years. Yet, after the last two rulings that came down from the Supreme Court I had serious doubts that they would get this one on the correct side of the fence.

Face it, if you read the Federalist and Anti-Federalist papers, there was no doubt. If you read Blackstone their was no doubt. If you studied “The Rights of Englishmen.”  It became blatantly obvious that some things, like the ability to defend oneself effectively, and your neighbor, was not only a God given right, but a duty.

I am reading the full decision and have not yet determined the scope of this ruling.

One would hope that this ruling will, in fact, and practice, strike down the draconian laws that deprive people in places like Chicago, New York City and elsewhereThe free fire zones that are so abundant across our nation have only resulted in innocent men, women, and children being slaughtered by people that are anything but innocent.

The Second Amendment is there as an individual right. It is not a privilege that is granted by any authority.

We now have a right to own guns, isn’t that special?!?!

It seems to me that right has been in effect ever since the 2nd amendment was written. Many anti-gun lobbies have tried their best to interpret it otherwise, and constitutional scholars have been trying to tell them that the original intent of the Framers of the Constitution was exactly what is read, word for word, because when you get right down to it, we ARE a militia if this nation comes under attack.

In 1941, when Japan attacked the U.S. Naval forces at Pearl Harbor, there was a major reason they attacked where they did and not on the west coast of this nation. They didn’t fear our military, they feared the ARMED U.S. citizen and the insurgency that they were certain they would face.

We, The People are the very reason that no foreign power has even tried to invade this nation, always have been, always will be, by God, lets keep it that way.

All I can tell you fine folks is this, if you have em, secure em, if you don’t have em, you’d be well advised to buy a few, become highly proficient in their use and invest in precious metals, brass, copper, lead, things of that nature.

You never know when they might change their minds.

Actually, it was there long before the Second Amendment was written. It goes all the way back to the “Rights of Englishmen” and the Magna Carta.

Just pointing out that RKBA was established long before the Constitution was written.

If it had been left up to Obama we would have no guns to protect our home with and maybe not have our hunting guns! Obama thinks we all cling to our guns because we are bitter! :)

Well the ENGLISHMEN can’t own guns anymore…

Anyway like I’ve said on other blogs, if I lived in America I’d be happy, but here in the PRC (Peoples Republic of California) our laws are pretty much the worst in the nation, we are just above an outright ban and I would expect DC will be at least this tough soon.

This action might actually help Robert.
